I never heard of a jagdterrier before. Crazy German breed. The Germans , not the dog, but I've known some insano Jack Russell terriers.

Jagdterrier means hunting terrier translated from German. I suppose they are pretty much the German equivalent of a jack Russell, huh?

Looks like just a bit of attitude going on in that pic.

    How big do they get?

I think about 25 lbs. I have wanted one for years, but they are rare. They are all attitude, and have no bluff in them.

they sound like tough little dogs, some of em tend to be fighters, maybe not the best thing for a pack

Most families of them are not human aggressive. We have a blue heeler now that is all business w livestock but just wants petted by people.

I heard it on the TV so it has to be true! The most reported breed for bites is Labrador Retriever due to it is the most popular breed and due to shear numbers is bound to be that breed. If you work percentage wise number of bites per breed the Daschund/Wiener Dog is the most prone to bite. Personally I have never cared for the sneaky heeler and ankle biter types. But to each your own. 20160129_151039.jpg This pic was taken a decade ago of our little baby puppy. Last time he was to the vet he was 212 lbs. and thought he was a lap dog. Full breed German Rottweiler. I sure miss him and so does my wife.:(

My heeler has never laid a fang on, nor even growled at a human. He doesn't sneak either, he boldly comes up and wants petted by anyone, he loves the attention. It is in the working of stock that he needs a firm hand, he has lots of drive.
