74078.jpg Well i came home from work yesterday and went to my shop and when i walked in there was a brand new Dirty Hand Tools 27 ton splitter in there with a red bow and a card. My wife bought it for me for our 17 year anniversary. You talk about surprised o_O i was fired up when I saw it. She did a good job too because it was the exact one i had been looking at and she ended up getting a great deal on it also. Shes a great wife and Im lucky to have her

That's awesome, congrats on the splitter as well as 17 years of marriage!!!

My wife never gets me any gifts; for birthdays, Christmas, anniversary, father's day, it doesn't matter I get nothing!!

Of course I don't dare forget to get her something for those days!

Congrats on 17yr. I picked up that same splitter two years ago and have not had one single problem with it yet. Split many cord with it and it will take anything you throw at it . Done with splitting by hand that's for sure . Enjoy your new toy and remember be safe .

I shouldn't complain too much, she does make up for it every couple years with a big purchase. A couple years ago when I found a large gun safe that I wanted she told me she'd buy it to cover missed holidays. Then this year she covered some work-out equipment that I was going to purchase with my own money.

That's really great. You got something you wanted, and it in turn, will benefit your family.

Over the last few years, my wife has embraced my CAD, and has gifted me a WIHA set of tools, breaker, spinner, sharpener, and a Husqvarna 327PT5S. All things I wanted, and they all benefit my family, as I use them to make money for the family fund.

Ive been reading about hydrolic leaks around the valve. Have you had to deal with any of those leaks because of loose fittings?

I did have loose connections where the oil filter is and had some leaking on those joints on my 22 ton, but after tightening everything I haven't had any more leaking.

I'm 50 now. I suffer from the aforementioned, on occasion.

see they are listing and do care even if they think its silly sometimes.
My dog bought me a zero turn a few years back for Fathers Day, exactly the one I wanted, still haven't figured out where "Hailey" got the money.

Thanks. Its real river rock from Townsend Tennessee about 20 minutes from where I live. I had a fireplace for about 15 years and we were tired of being cold in the winters so last year i put in a Buck 74 stove and bought 3 chords of wood and were the warmest we had ever been in 16 years in this house (which I built, so i know its insulated good). Now that i have the splitter, there will be no more buying wood. Ive been hoarding rounds for over a year and now its time to get them split and stacked. Im also in the process of building a wood shed for my wood. Its a slow but fun process.

Thanks everybody for the congrats on our anniversary. I got home tonite from work and was super tired, but that new splitter aint gonna split that wood by itself, so i checked all the connections, made a few adhustments and fired it up and split about a rick of wood. I hope I dont sound braggish, but this thing is awesome. I split some knotty maple and it didnt even flinch. This sure beats the axe and 12 lb maul for sure. Im a 19 year Deputy Sheriff and after 19 years of getting in and out of a cruiser with all the duty gear on, sure takes a toll on the back and eapecially the knees. This is gonna help my wood gettin' for sure.
