I got a deal yesterday, and had to play some stupid game with the seller:rolleyes:…. I offered him $200 for the baby bear but the SOB put it back on e-bay again and wanted to wait. Long story short, he took $200 as a gentlemens agreement yesterday but then had second thoughts. He was originally asking $449,99, what an A$$ this guy was, Needless to say that ROYALY pi$$ed me off:mad:… after a few words, he caved in and I just brought this old girl home:D… Saved from being a boat anchor or Beer cans:thumbs: I just got home with her, thought you might enjoy

In time, But you will see it!:) I'm gonna bring her back slowly and sweetly! She is all original and never been touched:cool: Thats why I played a stupid game with the guy I bought it from. He is the son of the original owner and thought he was going to make big $$$ from it!

I'm not mean to anyone, but he was a Complete A$$. First he said Ok $200 and we shook hands on it, he said call tomorrow and you can pick it up, then the SOB wouldn't answer my calls so I finally left him a message saying, " I thought we had a gentlemens agreement" are you backing out? then it was on e-bay again, then I got :mad::mad::mad:…. You don't shake my hand then screw me without a fight! So I left him a ^%#@((&^$@!@&) messsage, then he called me, because I said I was coming over to see him. He gave me some BULL S#!T story and said come by and pick it up:rolleyes:…… I win:p….

Going to go to my camp and visit my baby next weekend. I'm looking forward to it. Quite frankly I never paid any attention as to what kind of stove it was before but it clearly is a Baby Bear. My sister came across it a whole ago. I'll have to see if the plate is still on it so I can figure out when it was made and get some action photos.

    Nice Baby Bear Dave!

That's one other thing I am in the hunt for, an early Papa Bear!

Can't wait to see pics of the final product!

It'll be a while before I start with it. I gotta finish a few things first including my log splitter, should have that done by end of Feb.

my cousin burns in a BB too. Quite the stove! He heats about 1500 sq ft of a ranch style home with no problem. Decent burn times too. He placed to thick slabs of soapstone on the tops to help with the heat. Nice score Dave
