Not sure but the look screams McCulloch. The 41A model # sounds like MTD. And Cub Cadet is under MTD umbrella now. Maybe MTD bought McCulloch name? I wouldn't buy it new - wait for a nonrunner for $10.

Considering the retailer, it's likely manufactured in Yulik Laungding Dong China somewhere. ;) :p

McCulloch brand was being used by HOP (Husqvarna) to sell in overseas markets the last I heard but it's been awhile and perhaps a few are now washing ashore here.

Yeah the old McCulloch Motors Corp. filed Chapter 11 in 1999,the name was bought by Jen Fang,a Taiwanese maker of lawn/garden equipment.Husqvarna took them over in 2007ish,anything new you see marked MCC is now a low quality consumer model.

Same with Homelite.Textron sold them to John Deere in early 90's,they've had at least a couple owners since then.Dont know who exactly it is today, but its someone in Hong Kong.

I'll stick with the old stuff, thank you very much ;)

Those hour ratings are how long the mfg guarantees the engine to remain in compliance with the emissions standards it was designed to meet. While it's a BS spec in my opinion, it is a pretty good indicator of the level of design and materials that went into that engine.

You can't really go by these weights they post though they're all over the place, one site says 15 pounds one says 20, Tractor Supply says 26.
It's the same with others saws also, you can't count on those weights being accurate at all
