Right where I want to be.
Wife and I were gone until about 3pm, but SisIL was here when the guys came back to do a couple minor things (they left the inflow pipe loose so the elevation on the pipe could be adjusted just right, and sealed it up real well). She said the "inspector" came soon after they left.
They'll backfill everything when they get a chance, but it could be a couple days.
Everything's flowing as it should :D, but it'll take a bit to fill the new tank.
It's been nice not having to take the dirty clothes to the local laundromat, and pay the big bucks to clean the clothes.:dex:
I asked the "boss" yesterday if he wanted the money, and he said he'd get it from me sometime soon. I'm guessing when they backfill. Funny thing is, I had it in my pocket.

Just make sure it gets filled before you get any hard rains so it doesn't float out...it happens

Been doing a couple loads of laundry a day since yesterday, so there's gotta' be at least 100 gallons in there already. :D
No major rains in the forecast, so I think we're gooder.

Here's a couple pics of the mile long line from the house........first pic is from the house, 2nd is standing on the tank looking back to the house, and lastly, the field from the tank looking toward the firewood processing area.

    Glad its all done!

I have heard about the tanks floating also, make sure you get it filled soon! Even just from a high water table....like you would have along a lake shore.....

    Nice....
I got lucky and was able to do a dry well instead of a field...that was really easy.

Line from house goes to a septic tank, then to a dry well... Instead of a leach field. I don't remember exactly the dimensions of the pit, but it was about 6' square, about 4' deep. Gotta love building in pure sand.

I see now! We were about to do a dry well for bathtubs and dishwasher (no water wells here), but turned out our septic was junk. Very cool setup you have!

    Uh, uh, um............
Have I neglected to put pics up ovah there? Hmmm
The little one belongs to one of our daughters...he's a King Charles something or other.
The one who looks like he's leaning against the rain barrel (he's actually peeing) is Casper........he's got celebrity status, simply because his pic is on here usually in the Wood Pile.
The other one is his mom.....Carissa (I don't fully understand how to spell it).

The house where I used to live had a drywell for the sink/washer. Yes it was all sand there. Yes, the drywell did fail after the sludge plugged it up....eventually.
