Reality check, no one is interested in helping, not going to saddle WWW with this project on the few hours he gets to himself on the weekend...... Where should I post an ad like this? Check out Craigslist Wyoming pls? The local colorado one used to have jobs wanted and gigs wanted her it does not.

Weather is warming up after an early winter and late spring, the road was busy today. On a Wednesday! :picard: They were going WAY too fast too, far above the 20 mph speed limit:hair: WWW declined the recycled asphalt drive, but I am "this close" to putting speed bumps on both ends of the road on my property.

Gotta ask- are your 24/7 neighbors receptive to the idea, or just sorta "meh"?

Receptive to repainting bill board or the speed bumps? Billboard, they are all receptive, but also between 60 and 80 years old. I have not brought up the speed bumps to them yet, that came into my head tonight.

Not yet, but has to happen this year. My source for that ground asphalt got tossed in jail so he's out, probably going a different route.
I'll post when I figure it out.

If they're receptive, that's half the battle. Work up a sketch and get their input. Add in the speedbump idea. Just get their input and approval.
I bring this up because I've run across new people moving into the neighborhood who get here and want to change things. It creates resentment amongst the long time locals. But with approval, you're golden.

Good Advice!! You just took me back to my previous house of 21 years, 2 meatheads moved in before we moved and caused all kinds of turmoil on that coveted road. LOL, it was the 4th sale of the "mad hatter's" place if you recall that thread. I will absolutely be respectful of neighbors requests. That said, the ones we have talked to so far are on board, they miss the billboard sign, and are relying on the potholes in the road for slowing unnecessary and unwelcome traffic (private road, no city maintenance, we are on our own out here).

I might have missed it, but your private road, where does it terminate? Is it an access to BLM/Fed land or just die out on private?

It is privately maintained, no plowing, grating or help what so ever. That said, there are few BLM acres between some of the houses here. Can I pm you? They are accessable by either lake or or the open lands around the homes on the road.

The private road terminates at the end of the paved county maintained road.

PM no problem, but I'm heading for bed- long day tomorrow.
Hmmm.... access by private road to public land usually involves gates of one form or another. The separation is important. I have ideas.
Check in later. - Give a casual call to Fish/Game to get their take on this. Wyo. game wardens are really good backing up residents. They are total azzholes when dealing with non-res. individuals. My opinion.

I second the warden call. If anything, they probably know someone to help with the signage.

Here it is! The vereage is the only one I could get consensus on with all the neighbors, trust me we would worded it much stronger:rofl:  I opted not to foot the cost to have the right side fixed, it cost enough just to get it painted, it is what it is.

Funny and ecclectic, but I think it will still be effective :)
