    Looks like it may become legal here in Maine. Referendum question should be on the ballot in November.

    I have never had any weed, and I have a lot of mixed feelings about it. However, I think it is a big waste of tax money trying to go after people who smoke pot. If it becomes legal for people to grow their own pot, that will have a significant impact on illegal sales of pot and the very unsavory crowd that brings it into this state. Somehow, I think it will end up being handled along the lines of ETOH. If Maine does legalize it, I hope the neighboring states will also. That would curb a lot of potential opportunistic issues.

    Here it is legal for medicinal purposes - I'm sure they'll reconsider further unless the centers that are just now opening have troubles.
