People have no clue how those work either. There is always some yahoo in the center who stops because they suddenly remember the rules to a 4-way stop (the one on the right has the right of way). Unfortunately, the one on the right has an effin YIELD sign and the person in the middle has the dang GO sign. Screws up everyone :hair:

Caffeine time. I have to watch our three kids today. One not feeling well. They have day off from school and Mom has to go to staff development (training) day. When she gets home this afternoon I should be able to get 3 hours or so of moving dirt in.

Wife is off to work. I cooked up a pound of apple wood smoked bacon for all of us. Then made her and I an omelet with extra sharp cheese and diced green peppers. Oh man that was good. :) Two of three kids still sleeping. Kitchen all cleaned up and I am enjoying a cold pepsi for my second round of caffeine since 6am.

It was time to get back to work on the dirt/fill after my wife got home today. I have been able to move a good bit of dirt/fill the last few times because I am using the rest to raise the height of the barn pad more. So I don't have to move it far! LOL But there are a lot of rocks, so I am trying to separate the bigger ones out by not getting off the loader. Get the bucket fills spread out and then skim along and push the bigger rocks clear. I am going back out in about 20 minutes to work until dark on it. Letting the Tacos settle while watching the news! Going to probably get some rain tomorrow.

So our youngest daughter turns 40 today. A few weeks ago, I was moaning to my mother about this making me feel old. She said "Waiting until your oldest is going to turn 65, then you can think you're old." I happen to be her oldest.

Finally. It is all spread out. Just some piles of rocks to pile or find some places for. I don't know if you remember the amount of fill I had piled her. But it was a lot! LOL I filled in here with a lot of fill and created a nice flat pad. Then I got a lot more fill. So I used that fill to raise my camp road up another 6-12 inches up and down the road. I decided I better use the rest of the fill to raise the barn pad up higher. Thought that I could raise it up another 6-8". Done! This will keep the barn up high and dry. Boy did I have to separate a lot of rocks out! But I'm getting pretty good with the John Deere now and didn't have to leave the seat much.

Unfortunately I waited too late to take the picture. Not much light. I'm trying to find the picture I had with all the piles of fill for comparison. LOL I think I posted it here somewhere.?

That looks great gas. I guess the horses will be happening?

They were installing a water line at a home next to where I was working today. All shale ledge. Just misery.

I'm picking through this cookbook right now looking for recipes. I'll pass on the shrimp muffins though.

Oh yes. The horses will be happening eventually. My wife has found a nice, well trained trail horse that is 11 years old. She is thinking of buying it and boarding it close by our house. There are some nice folks that will board it for her that are only five miles away. I told her it will be another 3-4 months before the fenced in area is ready for the horse(s) to my standards. And then another 2-3 months before the barn is done.

I would pass on the shrimp muffins as well!

That's good. She will enjoy that a lot.

Uh honey, ya know, I really need a bigger loader to get this horse thing done. I'll have to remember this tactic.

Is a frying pan a proper 15 year wedding anniversary gift?

Yes. Unless you want to go with the plunger like I did.
