While we were eating the noon meal at the gtg, one of our neighbors came up to me and asked that I stop at his place after eating. I did and what a shock I got.

He said that since they moved in (about 11 years ago) we have been such good neighbors and have helped them many times so they wanted to show their appreciation. The funny part is that I had seen him building this and had commented on it and even made a couple suggestions. I had no idea what he was up to. In addition, this is a metal shed so it will outlast me and it was needed as I planned on building a new one this summer to replace my old one. I was really taken back by this and believe it or not, I was at a complete loss for words. Yes, it is greatly appreciated. Thank you neighbor.

EDIT: Be sure to look at the thread all about the GTG that is pinned in this forum. Right at the top of the page in the section that is sort of darkened. Maybe this means we were on the dark side last weekend?

Is this from the neighbor you've been bailing out with firewood for awhile?

Well, we've helped him a couple times. Last winter he was a bit short when he had hurt a couple ribs so we helped out a little bit. They are good neighbors as are all of our neighbors. Needless to say, we are blessed.

I wonder if I could lay down in there. Might be a good place to catch a nap or if I'm in the doghouse some night...

Looks great. That should keep you warm and dry next season - I know you like the milk crate for splitting, but that blind screams lazy boy recliner to me. :)

One does reap what one sows ... enjoy your harvest!

Had a bunch of guys back there today. Came to get the big tent from the GTG so I had to show them the blind. They loved it! I was going to get it set where we want it but took too much time chatting. That is okay. No hurry. Another neighbor looked it over and really likes how it is put together and especially how much lighter it is building with aluminum studs rather than 2 x 4 or 2 x 2. For sure it would have pulled a lot harder on the small skids that he built it on had it been built with lumber.
