I ran the trailer with the burning bush scraps over to my buddy's house to , well, burn. I checked to see if the morels were popping up. No dice yet. I'll check later in the week.

I put the snowblower in the shed, and moved the bike from the front of the garage to its riding season parking spot.

I'm picking up the pontoon boat on Wednesday evening that my parents bought this winter. I will put a stereo in the boat later this week. I've got the head unit and 4, 6.5" round marine speakers at my place.

I've got a feeling I'll need to break out the sawzall to cut speaker holes in the seat bases.:dremel:

Yeah,,with the stock rims my tire rub was on the inside of the wheel well up front when trying to go full lock w/the steering wheel, the rear is ok.
Been riding this old rig since it was 2 years old, always fixed/replaced everything that needed attention. With the rust rearing it's crusty head and because I like the looks of the wheel well mods (when done correctly) I figured it's time I jump in and learn something about it....pretty much how the lift kit happened and it works pretty good for what I do without destroying tires.
Any input is welcome, references to a decent Jeep forum would be appreciated.

A guy I know traded in his truck with an unused extended warranty and asked about a higher trade in value for it. The salesman told him to try cancelling it. Back to the original dealer and after some research, was awarded close to 1K for early cancellation!

That sucks man. The fine print exclusions on extended auto warranties typically makes them a ripoff, but we all learn the hard way.

So I had good luck and timing this evening. Strong t storms hit our area on my drive home today. It started raining very hard on my last 3 miles to home. I pulled in the garage, and it started hailing less than 4 minutes later.

Up to 1" here, but the local news showed a golf ball sized hail from my town.

I had some mfg warranty left over when I bought a 99 tahoe. WWW was looking at a truck on a used car lot and the guy said he had an extended warranty for my tahoe that we drove down that day that covered the fuel pump inside the tank and a bunch of other stuff not included in my warranty. I declined. And. Remembered it distinctly 6 months later when I paid like $700 to have the gas tank dropped to replace that particular pump:headbang:

Got an offer sheet for the new promotion.
Money looks good with room to grow, coworkers have accepted the notion that I'm already taking the job.
Have to stay on shift the rest of summer until I get the replacements trained up, but in the mean time things are changing - hopefully for the better.

it's not so much guns a blazing in corporate America, the opportunity feels right though.
You're used to working home construction right? Guy/gal can't cut the mustard you send em down the road, in this world you can spell out their expectations and if a reasonable attempt is made - no matter how incompetent they are, the checks keep being deposited.

It can be maddening. So now instead of me being the suggestive voice in superior's ear's to remove deadweight, I have to find a way to remove myself from the ballast that keeps things upright and thrust some of the younger guys I've trained into "ownership" positions.

Yeah the money is right, the challenges posted above should make it interesting, I've been making most if not all the calls the role required without the "teeth" of accountability for almost 10yrs as it is
