Odd day here, reminds me of Sept/Oct, dark skies, rain and snow on and off all day, windy too. Sun it trying to make an appearance late afternoon.

Teresa came up yesterday with her 13 y/o daughter and the dog for my birthday. I had some chuck roast on the smoker for pulled beef, they brought a cake and some goodies along with a movie to watch. Simple, low key and far from the birthdays of my younger years....and it was fantastic

:eek:Stopped at HD on way home from fishing today to pick up some plants Linda wanted that were on sale. Noticed they have pellets again (Stove Chow). The guy on the fork lift said they have several TL coming next week.
    259 a ton

Fishing was very slow, caught a couple small salmon and a small laker. If I depended on fishing for supper so far this year I would have to use live bait --- Minnows might be tasty on toast points :beerbbq:

I used to feel like that about Monday's too.

Then after taking a few personal days on consecutive Mondays I realized that I hated Tuesdays.

Not Monday we hate ..... It is the end of our time being ours that hurts.

Good on ya fixing the machine though.

Being retired, Mondays come and go and I don't really care much.

One day just blurs into the next and on it goes.

Yepper, that is how it is. Until I started spending some time at the Mrs. store I had to look at the paper to see what day it was. Course it doesn't really matter much anymore either unless I have an engagement. Then I just depend on the wife.

Today is big yard day (on break now). All leaves and pine needles into the compost trench with a good wetting down. Then going to run the sprinklers for a while. There was a small grass fire about 1/4 mile away yesterday while I was fishing. had it gotten out of control we would be at the camp much sooner than planned. Supposed to get rain tonight, BUT, just showers. When I was raking sparse areas the dust cloud was freaking heavy. NEVER seen it this dry here. One rain storm in 3 weeks and zero snow to melt. If we depended on April showers there would be no May flowers.

Well still playing with the interwebby stuff. The new router swallowed 17 GB of Suspense theater, all 910 episodes 901 of which had attached cover art, without a burp. Saturday it got a very good transfer try out, two HD Netflix streams one on the 5GHz band and one wired, while playing a Video on each of the two Fires on the 2.4GHz band, all while downloading via FTP from the 1TB HD attached to the router. In short over 300GB. This morning I flashed the 3700v4 unit with DD-WRT the version of which was released yesterday. I noticed in the services section of the configuration there was a warning when it came to the miniDLNA setup about being certain to configure the files.db to be on the media that was inserted into the USB slot or else it will end up in RAM (NetGear are you paying attention?) leading to various issues.
