i just ordered this 12" powerhouse to keep my cs600p company. i am unfamiliar with pruning saws and haven't heard any mod talk on them hence the question. these would need to have the limiter caps pulled off and get a normal carb tune? anything else to be aware of?

okay youse guys. apparently this saw has a .043" chain. i have actually only run regular 3/8" and never low profile so this is time for weenie education. anyhow the applicable oregon parts are 90px045g and 90sg045g. what's the recommendation, the anti kickback on the sg (?) doesn't sound compelling. any other thoughts on chains.

edit. a bit hard to find oregon chain. might try the woodland pro 34p for this.

If it has the Double-Guard bar on it (Part # 12A0CD3745), it uses the commonplace 3/8" Picco/LoPro, .050, 45DL chain.
If it has the Micro-Lite bar on it (Part # 12A4CD3745), it uses the less common 3/8" Picco/LoPro, .043, 45DL chain.

You might want to check that... mine came with the .050 bar/chain and I use Stihl 63PM3 chains on it.
