We had two heroes from our town come home this weekend. We were able to attend the welcome home party of a young soldier from Afghanistan today. Not great pics but just wanted to share. It's hard to think that our soldiers were not welcomed home years ago. I can't thank these men and women enough!
That's great that you went to that. I am sure there were deep patriotic feelings all around. Top shelf right there.
It was literally right through the woods from my place. I wasn't going to miss it! It was such a good feeling shaking that young mans hand and thanking him for his service. The smile on his face was ear to ear all afternoon. My wife was tearing up, baby pibey smiling and clapping and the goose bumps on my arms were in full force. Was a good day indeed
