Ive used this stuff before and it worked great! Sounds similar to the Permatex stuff

edit-Permatex actually sounds like it may work differently.....

Best day of this year so far. Warm sunny day, only a small breeze. One of my son's took his family fishing.
They had a very good time.

It is an acid base that turns the rust into a black oxide.

Stops the rust and is paint ready

About the only thing that will allow a good paint job that will last and not bubble up and peal.

The stoves are painted so poorly that it just sucks.

The interior is never painted and a couple months in the barn and they look nasty.

Great day for it. Son and I were planning on heading out Saturday, But he was still a bit under the weather with the crud. Had a whole week off from school only to spend it sick. So I spent the weekend getting some chores done as to not interrupt our adventures.

Next weekend come heck or high water, We'll be heading out for sure!! Got some catchin up to do!!

First ride in to work for the season this morning. Was 33* degrees when I left at 4:45 AM - hit colder spots on my way. Supposed to get up to 70 today (I didn't get out yesterday in the nice weather). Hopefully the cold front that is coming this way doesn't hit before I leave

    Hey Doggy,

You and your wife get to spoil them and get them going then you send them back home. It is very important that you develop a strong separation of duties early on.

Had overnight maintenance at one of my sites this morning. Needed to change the ac/dc caps and cooling fans in one of my UPS', they are at their recommended 7 year change cycle. This one is a pain in the azz to do but here are some very random pics....

    Nice pics Steve!

That's one serious looking UPS - is that for data center, mission-critical communication equipment, or both?

    ( Or a big-azz Subwoofer? )

Yes, there's so much chit on that UPS it's crazy...routers, firewall, file servers, print servers, Websense box, backbone circuits, the list goes on and on...we always do that kind of maintenance during our 12-6 am window but I'm paranoid the whole time cuz one little blip in commercial power and a bunch of chit is going down and going down hard....lol

I can use the old DC caps for my subwoofer... :D
