Very heavy for the power Jon. They are smooth saws to run tho. If you really want something orange, try a 545. I doubt you would pick up the 025 very much after that. Light like the 025, strong(er) like that 455. And plenty of good deals to be had making it not much more $$ than the 455 would be.

There ya go, a one saw plan and a cure for CAD. ;)

I have some reading up to do. I'd like to stay with Stihl as I have a local dealer that everyone in my family uses. I would be looking for a saw more for scrounges and not everyday wood lot use. The 025 gets me by, but I would like to pull a longer bar and have a little more power. I'd keep the 025 for around the yard and smaller jobs.

Yeeeeeaaaahhhh. I like Stihl too but they really don't have saws that match up well to the 545 or the 555. The MS241 is similar in capability to your 025, the 261 is bigger and stronger, but it's as much $$ as the 555 and still just a 50cc saw vs 60cc.

That said, a MS291 may fit the bill for you. It may get poo poo'd because it's not a professional model, but it's got just enough snot to pull a 20" bar without moving up to the heavier 311. Good AV on those too for that smooth ride you're after. Should run right around $429 depending on bar length. But you owe it to yourself to try that Husky 545. ;)

Do Husky dealers give away those girlie calendars and a hat? Could be a deal breaker ya know.

If you are impressed with a 455, don't stop there. They are overweight and under-powered in my opinion versus similar options.

I love me the Huskies as well, I like a decent gap between saw sizes, so it makes sense to grab the next saw. With a 45cc (?) 025 you might want to look in the 60cc-70cc range. Easily run a 20-24" bar if that's where you want to be. A Husqvarna 555 might be a logical candidate.

I have a couple 70cc saws you are welcome to run and try out. Not too sure how far apart we are.

Don't run a 70cc saw unless you are prepared to buy one.

You wouldn't want to do crawl spaces here in Florida.
