Hey, have someone hold the ladder for ya, TD... Oh, never mind, I see you have that covered! Great avatar pic!
Difficult to like this one. Sure hope you get feeling better quickly HD. Are you still planning on bringing your splitter? What else?
Hey all. We still have room for more at the GTG. It's only 2 weeks away now. Some good things are going to happen. For those who may not yet know, we will even have some demos of cutting lumber with Alaskan mills to add to the other things planned. My poor wife is about driving herself berserk trying to figure out food and whatever else she can worry about...
Still planning on bringing splitter in trailer ,saws, wood handling tools , little dump trailer if ya can use it . Hopefully not a contagious disease Anything else y'all would like me to bring ? Do you have an agenda worked out ?
That all sounds good HD and yes, we might be able to use the dump trailer. As far as an agenda, we'll be felling, bucking, hauling both bucked wood and logs. Splitting and stacking. Demos on the mills. Lots of food and drink. Some good conversation with friends and meeting new friends. We've ordered a nice day without rain and hopefully no black flies yet nor any mosquitoes. We thought about a cow pie throwing contest but decided to just toss around a bit of BS from time to time. Hope to have a bon fire at night; maybe even during day. Some of us may get started a little bit on Friday but it will probably mostly be just last minute things to be ready for Saturday. It appears many will be coming in Friday evening too. For anybody, we have some log tongs like these: If anyone has some of the other types or brands, please bring them so we can compare. Pulp hooks too and even hookeroons. Splitting mauls, axes, etc. Even tape measures might be handy. Extra milk crates! If someone has some favorite outdoor chairs that could be a good thing.
I'm thinking Tim might be bringing one or two coffee makers (wish I could remember for sure who it was but thinking it is Tim) but a 30 cup might very well come in handy. 8 cups? You'll be peeing all afternoon with that.
