It was 1.5*F:shiver: this morning when I lazily woken up so every gear is in low for the sun to warm up a bit before I hit the road:coffee: The white scenery outside will be around for awhile longer, very very slow slow melt:doh:

Enjoy the day off. My sons on spring break next week, Hoping to slack at least one day with him and maybe hit the water if the weather isn't too bad. Older I get the less I wanna go out to freeze! :emb:

shoot, it seems, by some reviews, the 530 might be the better one to go with.
too bad mine already shipped. :(

i was sure there was just one in this size range they still made.
the 530 looks more like my 510, which they no longer make.

evidently (again, by some reviews) the 533 is louder than the 530. and by some accounts, not as strong.
thankfully they both carry the 5 year warranty.

i'll let folks know what i think when it gets here.

interestingly, the specs show higher cfm on all settings for the 533.
i'll just have to wait till it gets here and see how it stacks up against my 510s

it's hard to tell sometimes with reviews.
both models list at the same price, but the 533 supposedly "moves air" 70 feet, and the 530 shows 65 feet in the specs.

maybe i did get the right one after all. i know i love the 510s i have, and our house just wouldn't be the same w/p them. we have a very problematic back room, but the vornados make it work very well as far as regulating the heat on demand.

if i hadn't hung one of my 510s upside down and had the oil drain out, i wouldn't even be buying a replacement.
we just sent that problem 510 back today for the third time in the 5 year warranty period. so if it starts to have trouble again, i'm on my own with it.
the other one has been just fine.

vornado has sent us a prepaid shipping label each time, so i can't complain about their service.
i'll give my verdict on the 533 when it arrives.

    for the 533 -
    High Speed RPM 2225
    Low Speed RPM 1150
    High Speed CFM 293
    Low Speed CFM 156

Used the snowblower for only the 2nd time this year. We got 3" of snow and it is being said by the weather guru we might get another 3 tonite (or not).

Also mid teens tonite which might just be the 3rd coldest night this winter. :shiver:

To think I was wading a brook on Friday trout fishing. Unbelievable.

The forecast is uncomfortable for the next 10 days or so, BUT, I am still going to fully open the camp Thursday/Friday, or Fri/Sat and get the boat ready for spring salmon fishing probably Sunday.

I WILL be hunting salmon next week even if it is wearing a snowmobile suit.

I was doing some handywork at my mom and brothers house (replace some sections of siding, dripping valves etc) when my mom says oh can you get the rider mower in the garage gone? we dont use it. I had forgotten about this rider mower. I bought it when i was 18 and we first bought the house. it was under a tarp all these years. my $700 dollar murray!
So, i took off the tarp and it looked pretty good for its age. checked the oil, threw some fresh fuel in it and fired right up like the day i left it to buy my own house. I did have to put air in the tires. anyway they use a lawn service now, so i put the mower in the back of the van and now i have 2 rider mowers. I cannot believe that thing still exists. I only used it for a few years before i got married and moved out (and bought a JD rider).

I guess i can use it for cart towing, and the first 2 mows of the season where you're likely to encounter things that can mess with your blades. save wear and tear on the nice mower.

i sometimes get irrational and anthropomorphize inanimate objects.
i am definitely seeing an eager smile on that tractor's grill, and imagine it's happy to be back in the fight.

THAT is a very nice fish indeed. We fish land locked on Lakes George and Champlain. They follow the spring smelt runs and usually run in the 4 - 7 pound range with the occasional 9 - 12 pounder.
Usually drift the boat around the mouth of feeder streams early morning and evening.

Temp is 8 this morning. I'll have to check a bit later but I think that is our coldest reading this year. When the bones were less squeaky fishing in 15 or 20 degree temps was nothing. Now I like it well above freezing out when chasing the finned friends.

My brother and I used to hit the Niagra River once every year during winter for trout. Caught some biggies through the year. Have not done it in a few years because our personal temp modulators just don't work like they used too. Just one of the rewards of age.

Linda's spring gardens are in danger and that is a bad thing for the future of my back.
