Heck no it doesn't. When you buy a Harman the dealer you get it from is obligated to perform repair work on it. So it's important you buy it from a place you like and trust. There is zero obligation for them to install it, however.

tt....I get charging for install but if they are claiming that they need to do install to honor warranty, that's bs....IMO...

Agreed, there is no install obligation for warranty coverage, that part may be a simple miscommunication.

Or this Dealer really wants that extra $ 650 for the install so he plants the seed that you can do it yourself but if something F's up it's on you so pay me now or pay me later . I'm not liking this Dealer at all , just my 2 cents

Well I had to sign diy waiver papers. 125$ for inspection and combustion set up ( thats fine with me. If theres something they want changed for warranty I can send them photos the second time so I dont have to pay another 125$

I agree. But he dosent scare me. I dont do warrantys In my regular buisness. If it comes with one great if not oh well. Ive never had a warranty work in my favor much. Its always some angle for the company to make more money with some kind of fee. Fee this fee that.bla bla bla. You drove your camaro ss with racing package to hard and ruined your cd plAyer.. user abuse user abuse. I bought a harman hopefully I wont need the warranty.....or break its cd player

I would consider looking around for a independent guy who can help with the install. I changed out my stove and only had to buy a section of stove pipe for $50. My nephew was a tech who worked for the outlet where I bought the the stove. That helped a lot. Never knew of having to to sign a DIY contract.

Not necessarily. When you figure an intake thimble is over $200, and most pipe only sets can easily be a couple hundred bucks, that only leaves a couple hunded for the install and incidentals. Of course, it depends on how much pipe, the installation, etc.
