16 degrees here this a.m.. Fortunately, we did not get the winds. Coffee intake happening then outside to move some wood. Sports afternoon on the tube. Mix of Golf, Baseball and NASCAR. Better make sure the batteries in the remote are good..............Everyone have a great safe day.

Well slept in... Got coffee a rollin' ... Gonna be almost 80 today and I'll be mostly inside today... But I've got to get the Garden tilled one more time this morning (The neighbor had his garden mold plowed about 4 weeks ago, theres a reason that farmers usually do this in the fall :picard:)... But the rest of the day will be getting the kid moved up to his new room:thumbs:... (a three year job completed almost :D)

Motto for the day was "a little bit of a lot of things"

My bride woke up sick so I've been doing a bunch of little things so I could stay close to home but yet get myself and the dogs out from under her feet.

Dogs out for a run this morning. Grocery shopping for dog food after. Back home to check on her and sharpen a chainsaw blade on the Echo. Dogs out for another run where I process. Split and stacked some hackberry.

Loaded up a small load of maple to start restocking for next year. Brought it home and checked on her and stacked the maple.

Went down and worked on the bathroom a bit. Heading out soon for groceries and gas her car.

I know I've been busy but doing all these little jobs make it feel like I didn't get anything done. Anyone else feel that way?

Also, maybe a variety of cold medicines, her favorite snacks, chicken soup, and maybe a girls magazine or favorite movie rental?

Add 4" of winters white stuff to that view and that's what we have. Now the wind is whipping, 40mph gusts, grrrr

Went for a walk with my wife, cleaned up sawdust from the driveway, I'm cooking ribs now. They'll be done in an hour or so.

Had the pups outside and they got a lot of exercise. What a difference a day makes. 60 and not half bad out today, and 32 and snow all day yesterday.

I need to re empty the pressure tank on the water pump for the house. I hear the pump kicking in too much. There's a faulty sniffer valve, so it just eventually gets full of water, with no air in it. That defeats the purpose of the expansion tank. It's a pre bladder type tank.

I finally found this though. IMG_20160403_163734656.jpg

I am finally sitting down for a few minutes. I cooked up 4 chicken carcasses into stock earlier today and just made some soup. I'll bring in a bit wood and light the stove as the cold weather moving in tonight. The wind is picking up, and when the sun goes down, it is going into the 20's. 3-5" of snow predicted tomorrow.

It was supposed to be in the saw chips from cutting the long pieces of shagbark. That's where I was attempting to get the old stihl running this winter. I however found it a few feet from there, close to the garage door.

No matter, I found it, and I'm happy.

We got 2" this morning early, more snow than we'd seen all year this season. Go figure.

Edit: we are supposed to get more overnight and then rain tomorrow.
