If your stove liked the FSU, You'll be just as happy with CA Natures Own. MY Made in America NO's are so close to the Stove Chows I could not tell any difference except for the bag.

At least its only 2 locations and we can figure out where they came from. Take a look at TSC and both their white bags and the older red bags. They can come from several mills. Most we can trace with the UPC code. Some are left at dead ends with only a UPC code that ends with TSC. No clue where they could be from.......... Then there's IFP and their Inferno Gold>Nations Choice saga. Besides a few hints they won't provide any clues to which mills are filling for them.

Welcome to the pellet game! ;)

4 tons of Maine's Choice made it to my place on Easter Sunday - so it is official that I got a total of 6 tons during the sale. Okay, technically there are a few bags of sawdust in there - but the driver assures me that Lowes will replace/refund whenever I decide to unwrap the pallets - even if it is next fall.

I had a telephone with one of the great guys at Energex. I asked Ryan about the two kinds of Nature's Own that
member of this forum have detected. Ryan confirmed that:
    1. The PA plant produces a 100% hardwood version of Nature's Own which is sold to nearby states.
The PA plant produces roughly 1/2 of the Nature's Own total tonnage.
(All of the production coming out of the PA plant is 100% hardwood.)

    2. The Canada plant produces the Nature's Own version of 60% softwood.
About 1/2 of the Nature's Own total quantity of tonnage.

I asked Ryan why did not Energex introduce another product name to market the
100% Hardware the is being placed in Nature's Own bags. I said that it is a bit
confusing to have two versions of Nature's Own, in nearly identical bags.
Ryan said that costs of adding another trade name, trade marks, newly desired bag
    were too expensive.

Ryan reminded me that the buyer can distinguish between the two versions of Nature's Own
by the origin of the product. He said these two versions of Nature's Own will likely
    continue into the future.

While I had Ryan on the phone, I asked if Energex supplies any pellets to International
Forest Products. Ryan said that Energex does not supply any pellets to IFP.

I've burned several bags in my p68 without problem. I'm not sure they are as hot as others, but nothing really scientific to support this. I got two tons of those plus 4 tons of Natures own (Canadian) I've burned about 10 bags of those and must say they are really good.

If I read this correctly, you like the Natures Own better than the IG. That's my take on them too.

Yes, I would buy both of them again at the right price. The Natures own seemed a bit hotter and less ash, maybe, but I don't have any data to back that up. Just a feeling I have about them. The one thing that I can say is that the IG burned more quickly. If I read that right, the stove adjusted the feed to keep the selected temp.
