    Nope the shutdown was just for the weekend. We've been getting Fridays off since our hours have shifted soo much since we lost one of the supervisors. :handshake:

    We wake up on April 1st to make coffee and the power goes out for 1:20 minutes, when it first happened I said to the wife, good April Fools joke how did you do it, when I saw that the cable was out I realized she was telling the true.

    I should do that to my wife....when she wakes up. Kill the main, then say something about the impending Apocalypse.
    Nah, I'd need to reset the clocks if I did that.
    Wait a minute, you had to wait an extra 1:20 minutes for coffee? Some kind of backup generator is called for to rectify this.:)

    campinspecter mowed yesterday for the second time this spring. good thing as we got heavy fog this morning. felt like a late July day yesterday.

    I dont do coffee at home, but i do tea. Gas stove with lectric ignition thst sometines doesn't work, so i have a lighter handy.
    Not sure if the wife k ows enough of the ind and outs of our standby gen, but she can figure it out.
    It would be no power and no start of the genny. Would not last long as i would digure i out right quick whe. I see that it off. Then there is also the tattle tale generator of a neighbor. If it's quiet.....

    No mowing here yet - the grass hasn't greened up yet much less started growing. Heck, even the forsythias haven't started budding. Apparently they weren't fooled by the mild winter (or that -21F night put some fear into them) and are waiting at least until after the snow this weekend.

    Got my steroid shot in neck today. Oh, what a nice 15 min nap I had.
    Now for the couple day wait to see how it goes.
    Even though this is a great forum, most of you work during the day and it gets too quiet.
    I am bored after 3+ weeks.

    Could be a lot of them are on April 1st for the same reason there were so many on Jan 1st. A lot of people don't want to use their real birthdays.
