Sorry Will no beer in the boat. Save that for when I get home! Having the son with me and getting silly with all that power. Nah...

My son had a few friends ask to come with us, They showed up with a bucket a worms. Don't like the mess in the boat. But went along with it. After my son caught his 4th or 5th fish and they only got some nibbles or got tired of the little gils takin their worms. They were asking to use what he was using. We only take pic's of the decent fish. But on average day between the 2 of us put 30 plus in the boat. Just sayin and most are bass. If we get a gil its a big one.

Yep and drink too, Just not when we're fishing! ;)

Not always.... I get lucky once in a blue moon. Usually when he's havin an off day.

I did get big bass last season. His beast(approx 8 pounds-we see it real good when it leaped out of the water and laughed at him). Broke his line and took his bestest lure. He got 2 this go round!! ;)

I bought 2 too, I aint no dummy neither!

    Absolutely gorgeous day today.

Gonna make the low 70 F by weeks end then cool off again.

Stove season is still in the near future and will be burning in the evenings for a while yeT.

We usually flirt with the stoves until early June.

yeah, i am seeing pics of the oregon spring from my friends back home. *almost* makes me miss portland. (though not really even close)

the new put in spot i found for canoeing has a goodly stretch up a smaller stream, like several miles worth.
i think i can deal with melt water conditions if i do that part and stay out of the main river till things settle down.

as soon as the snow in front of the hatch under the porch melts, i'm dragging the canoe out and putting it on the car.
i will paddle the chit out of a 50 degree day.

but yeah, still some single digit lows and a couple days w/ highs below freezing.

Holy Chit JT, that's one expensive fake fish! And it's got a Trophy stand too, that's cool!

Today I finished up converting the old Shop Vac to a filter canister, and ran the tailings (3-4" at the bottom of the bag) of 4 bags of pellets through the small Pellet Vac, works Spiffy - no dust in the filtered pellets, plenty in the filter canister:

Based on that, it looks like the modded smaller pipe sizes are pretty close, so I'll be measuring and posting up the modded plans tomorrow.

JT, it was 32 F and snow flurries here this AM, but busy @ the local boat store on Route 9 - I guess lots of folks are coming up this weekend to enjoy the good fishing weather, winter wrap was being pulled off lots 'o boats.. I think the smack-down you got for those lures was worth it! :D

    :picard:
My Dad has a pic of our 2 daughters decked out in that gear, from when we were visiting them in FL umpteen years ago..
IIRC it wasn't cheap to buy then, either. So if you want to wear pink, don't buy it - I'll ship one of the outfits here to 'ya. :D

For a Jackson, it should include the trophy stand. :D I hear what you're saying though, anything w/ enough 'stones' to hit on that lure has gotta be a beastly fish!

"We're gonna need a bigger boat."

Looks like the next couple will be pretty decent. Rain for Friday and then cooler for the weekend.

Go figure! But at least we won't sweat doing yard work! ;)
