So now that I bought my new harman what should I keep near by? Any particular parts that go often? What do you harman guys keep in stock?

I have an extra door gasket. Also happen to have an spare igniter - only because I thought the P61 igniter was going. It turned out to be something that had nothing to do with the stove itself. Both items will fit either stove.

Have lots and lots of pellets. Other than that, cleaning utensils.

Nothing , mine has been running for many, many years. It is an Original RS model, the only thing ever replaced has been the combustion blower last year. You might need an igniter being you have auto ignite. Personally I would run it on low rather then have it go on and off multiple times a day. I believe cycling anything like that, hot-cold over and over adds extra stresses/fatigues to the equipment.

You will want a shop vac with a drywall filter, a big flat head scredriver, a flashlight, and a paintbrush. These will be needed for your cleaning. Also get a surgeprotecter to protect the stoves circuits.

Good point on the surge protector. If you get the right UPS such as APC BE750G (search around, they go on sale regularly at different sources for $75-80) or another mentioned in the manual, then in case of a power failure the Harman will gracefully shut itself down and no smoking should occur.

The Advance is a nice stove even though they just stopped making them! Is yours one of the newer direct drive or the older chain drive?
I have the older 2004 chain drive and the auger motor just died so it was good for 12 years, I would keep a spare exhaust blower.
I installed a gimbal can light in the ceiling for show and to see better when cleaning. I also have a raiser hearth for storing cleaning tools and supplies.
I got the Lowes Iris T-stat so I can turn it on and off and monitor the temp with my smartphone
I also upgraded to the Selkirk DT to keep the ash fluffy and make the stove easy to keep clean, especially with the optional vacuum clean out. :)

I also have one on my rinnai tankless water heater. That also reads no problems however I wired that circuit and know theres a ground. I should have swapped them before I fixed the ground issue. I forgot dammit

Other than tools, no real need to keep extra parts. The new igniters have been great, and have been for several years. Even though the stove is no longer available, most components are identical to other Harman units. No real must haves, but if I had to pick something, it would be a door gasket.

Do the new Advance stoves take the special door gasket that I had to get for my old 2004 Advance? I wish it took the standard Harman 3/8" gasket. :-(
