One of the few things I disliked about the Patriot (besides the crapped out tranny so early in life) was the traction control. It would be braking a tire while in slick conditions then it would do the opposite, then get itself all hinky and do way more stuff than was needed making the whole episode last longer than if I had just steered out of it. Heck, it would start doing nutty things if I hit a decent sized bump going around a curve on dry roads. Fortunately there was a way for me to turn it off.

Yeah, ABS...TRACTION CONTROL...add more to the list as you feel. Too many childproof items for driving, you know? Just seems to take away the responsibility for the idiots out there...

? What's that? You put a glass on each side of the yard and once you cut your way back and forth, you have a drink for the reward waiting for you?

Some cars really don't have the software done properly. All cars with traction control should have a defeat button that can quickly be switched, but they don't. The ones that do have such a switch or button are definitely easier to drive on certain situations.

Both of my cars have switches to shut off all of these systems of you need to quickly. I don't think I'd buy a car if it didn't have a defeat switch.

Dang! Son's girlfriend just called and cancelled for our Easter Buffet tomorrow. She didn't sound too well and said he is the one that is not feeling well.
Oh well, it just opened up reservations for 4 other lucky people.

I like that idea. My wife will run a new beer over to me when I finish one while mowing the lawn. That definitely makes me want to more the lawn more.

Our lawn still has a little snow on it from Thursdays storm. It should all be melted today. I'll probably need to mow in mid April.

:D.... My lawn tractor has this cool feature on it that will hold a beer bottle, or I can drink one while watching the kid mow. Cause that's some hard work. It's a win-win....

Doesn't that just go flat in a hurry? Or do you have to drink faster?

Tree limbs to the tree dump. Also made a omelette dish to throw in the oven before Easter services tomorrow.

Took the limbs out to the tree dump and drove by the park. I found the heavy snow brought down several big branches from an old pine (luckily no where close to the bridge) so I decided to clean it up.

It started to rain once I started on the job but wanted to finish it up so it looked good over Easter. Two truck loads of branches later here she is.

Since I was soaked and muddy I trimmed a crab apple for my mother too. Brought home a little something for the stacks and got the park ship shape again.

Got home and my bride didn't even want to hug my dirty wet body...odd. :)

Still around. Been a little busy. And actually needed some time down from computers. I use them at work too much. So I need to stay off of them more. Been trying to spend some extra time outdoors, even in the not so nice weather.
