Would this new blower setup get alot more heat from a Harman P-Series?

Most pellet stoves I have seen are barely warm on top.

I can sit my bare butt on the Whits.

Looks good though for a wood stove.

 

Unless you run your stove so that the surface temp gets up to about 150F or hot enough for water to vaporize from a pan, than I doubt that machine would work for a pellet stove. my p68 can get hot but not scorching hot.
This is another contraption I've seen. very entertaining and uses little electricity. but the velocity on a pellet stove isn't much. Like watching the minute second hand on a clock.

 

I do not know how much it costs but I know people who put floor fans behind the Harman P -Series stoves to get more warm convection air from them. I also put a blower on top of my P61 and it seem to work well. The tops of the p-series stoves get hot and you can get burned from them so it maybe worth a try?

 

I have thought about a "Jacket" tube type blower arrangement to go around my long vent on the big Whit.

The run is nearly 4 feet and well exposed.

A thin tube that encircled the pipe with a little fan blowing air through it could definitely scavenge some heat.

The surface of the pipe gets up to 150 F and this could help, maybe ????

Just not sure that fooling with this sort of thing is worth the time and $$$ to do it.

The blower gizmo sitting on top of a steel topped wood stove would definitely get some heat moving.

Now our old Earth Stove Pellet unit had a steel top that got HOT and could have seen benefit from an auxiliary blower unit.

 

Looks like an interesting idea and one worth investigating - well, assuming they don't want a gajillion $$ for the unit anyway.

 

You don't want to try that on either of my stoves
