Not the "spring break" you were wanting, huh?

Just went to the grocery store and bought nothing but what was on sale and got lots of each. The checkout guy prints the receipt, looks at it, and say "man, you can seriously shop!"

Got it patched back up. The spring slipped one end. Not sure what to do now.

They said 6-10" for us, and we got 2.5" of snow, but a lot of rain, freezing rain and sleet. Driving home was a harrowing ordeal, the abs, stability control, and traction control all got their workout on the 35 miles drive home. Add to that it was snowing so hard that visibility was maybe 200-500 feet varying at times, but all very poor visibility the whole 50+ minutes. Still, amazingly I has to flash headlights at at least 25 cars that didn't have headlights Seriously people?

I saw several cars in the ditch, power outages, a at least 7 cars spinning out and nearly off the road, and one rwd pre runner that barely got up the hill on a back road. That made me, and about 6 cars behind him have to come to a dead stop on a hill. At one point the prerunner was sliding backwards towards me, first in line behind him. Great. I couldn't see around him, as his front end was over the center line on a 2 Lane, with no real ditch. Thankfully he was able to scratch up the hill, and he turned off at the top of the hill, so I didn't have to deal with that any longer.

    That was fun....not.

Yeah, my wife had a nice rum and coke made up for me and the fire choochin' with baked herbed chicken thighs, corn and baked potato waiting for me.

I'm glad I took the 4runner with the awesome Falken wildpeak AT tires on it.

Better to flex the abs, than soil the seat.....
Of course I know what you mean, but 50+ minutes of flexed pucker could bring on the 'roids.:bug:

Ok. I'm sorry for that one y'all!:picard:

I never minded driving in foul weather/storms. It was always the other people that mucked things up.
It's always amazed me how many people just don't slow down when the weather/visibility gets poor. C'mon!
As far as the ones without the headlights......???? No thought process?

I've got to do a little running for bill paying this morning. The afternoon will be a church service for observation of good Friday.
Maybe take a load to the cottage if theres time.

Got about 5" of snow and then about a 1/2" of ice on top. Bear was just breaking thru as he was walking. Just cloudy now, seems to have moved east. Coffee on, then some breaky before starting to plow out the driveway. Everyone have a great and safe day.

4 people (as of time i write this) liked this happening. Not me. I had door spring let go once. With 2 cars inside garage. No damage (torque spring) but no fun.
So I am clicking the "no like" icon.

I managed to get the door lifted...but need to work on it quite a bit more tonight.

I don't want to waste a sunny Saturday working on it tomorrow.

Had a cable come off the spool at my moms house. Called the door co to handle. They pushed down on the high side (cable still on spool) to get it level, then put vise grips on the track to keep it from opening, the put a bar or 2 on the spring adjustment to get som slack on the cables. That allowed them to get the cable respooled. Took 2 of them to get the one side down.
