Second day of my two week break. So nice to relax and surf FHC, maybe watch some World Women's curling today and get some bookkeeping done. Supposed to rain but so far it looks like not. We'll see.

So far a productive day. Watched curling, got some gardening (weeding) in, went out for lunch and now it is drizzling so I will do some bookkeeping. Gotta go and get my tea first. Sneak in some FHC surfing and everything is gooder!

Had a great pancake breakfast today, then went to the cottage for a movie and a wood fire. It was 30 inside so 99 stayed in the truck for awhile; by the time we left, the inside of the cottage was 80 thanks to the ol' nc-13! (I am still amazed at how the stove performs with the venting setup of two 90's, two lengths of single wall pipe, then enlarge to an 8" class A of 5 feet. That's it! Dry wood makes all the difference!)

Topped off the day with a pizza and wood fire in the basement kicker stove ("I'm a little chilled, Dear")!! Yeah, I think it'll be no trouble getting the Drolet replaced with the NC-30 by fall!

My truck is coated in pollen, and I just grabbed an armload of white oak splits to keep the chill off this evening.:loco:
hopefully this breeze stays up and holds the frost at bay I don't want to deal with dead leaves all spring

don't tell us that. Campinspecter took the winter tires of our car last week as well. We got one frosty day afterwards but so far no snow.

Women's world curling again this morning. gotta go and get my tea and get comfortable. It is supposed to rain all day but I hope to get out and do some more weeding. Nice to be able to have time to get projects done weather permitting.

Went and looked out the window. clouds building but I think we might have a nice colourful sunrise.

I resplit & stacked some wood for our neighbor, he should be good for the rest of the burning season.

We're getting ready to bring some wood in before the rain/sleet/snow moves in.

Two loads of Cherry in before the wet stuff comes in, we still have some Ironwood & Beech left for some of the colder nights if we need it.

Hauled in a couple armfuls from the garage, it's amazing how much moisture that wood picks up just from sitting in there!
