actually the concept with that "Hillbilly Heatilater" isnt a bad idea, just a little short sighted on the materials used. ive seen foks who have welded up steel pipes in a manifold supplied that way in the past , even saw some drawings on a Grate /Exchanger setup where it was all a 1 piece deal that ssits in the fireplace build fire on grates and the pipes actually would sort of surround the wood and blow out the top.

 

The first one is a gasifier system- the car is running on wood gas. Ya, I don't think much of the hair cut- needs a bit deeper bowl.

Oh my.....a few thoughts on this video.

1) This video would be a great drinking game. Take a shot every time you hear the expression "Uhh" uttered. Or variations of same expression.

2.) This guy says "Uhh" more than Prime Minister Zoolander.

3) I wonder what his neighbors think of his set up? I'd be making phone calls if my home was next to his.

4) Insulation doesn't burn, but it does smolder, and wouldn't that be a treat for the neighbors?

5) Wow. Wonder what he used for a hearth pad?

6) I did my best to count the "Uhhs". 89 sound right?
