    So, I'm here to introduce myself...

    I cut wood for fun and relaxation. I use it for campfires, camping trips and I burn a 2-barrel furnace in my barn in the winter but I don't heat the house with it. I have an appreciation for great tools and I love seeing them perform at their best. I've been a Stihl guy since 2003 when my big box saw crapped out and I finally broke down and bought a worthwhile product.

    I recently came across a thread by MasterTech where he was conducting a shootout with different sprockets and chains on his 261. I'm getting ready to set up the same saw and I found it so informative that I thought I might as well pull up a seat and join the party.

    Just wanted to jump in and say "hi." I've already learned a lot reading here. If I get lucky I might even have something to add as time goes on.

    Seriously though, you will see lots and lots of pictures of nice saws here. Go ahead and start developing a 2 and 3 saw plan. I'm on the 3 saw plan.....but I have 4 saws somehow?

    Welcome, Gill. I have many fond memories of my time in Indiana, and most of my family are still there. I think having a place to share stories is almost as valuable as the knowledge you will get out of these folks. I know that my wife, too, is happy that I found this site. Enjoy!
