I think I just saw his name as one of the new forum members. Hopefully he will join the discussion. I think everything he is doing is excellent but I do have one concern, which I asked about in this thread:
    Pellet stove exhaust temps?

I would like to see some probe thermometer temps right above his flue collar on that pellet vent pipe.

I wrote to him about this:

    Here's his response:
I'm still concerned about whether those IR surface temps are an accurate reflection of the temps inside the pellet vent pipes.

Well hello there wood-burning gurus! I would like to tell you more about my little stove and what we're doing now so I can get some insight and opinions here but I better check with the webbies and moderators first. I tried to talk about it last year, but people thought we were spamming.

Welcome Lloyd, thanks for joining up! DexterDay is one of our mods and already recommended contacting you to see if you'd like to chat about your stoves (so I think everything is cool, see my PM too):

Loyd you are very welcome to talk about your stoves here. We support open conversation, helping each other and learning. I'm very curious myself and would possibly be interested in one in the future.

What's the largest "split" that can be put into the stove? Length and width? And, have you ever weighed how much hardwood (lets say Oak) you can stuff into it, and how long the burn time is?

That's cool. Would a pellet vent wall thimble work as well? After that the usual vent termination probably wouldn't fly but I am Very interested in this stove. I wonder if a short run of vent pipe up my masonry chimney at the open fireplace would work as a testing ground. Can always move that nugget to its permanent location when ready!

Yep. When I started researching stoves I stumbled upon DIYs that were made over in Europe by surfers that were camping out.
