Good morning, mid 40's we might see mid 60's and I get to hang around waiting for the Sears repairman,,and try to find an intermittent leak in my roof. The roof was new in 2007, completely redecked using 5/8's, 30 lb. felt, 30 years dimensionals,,it's gotta' be a vent,,perhaps some good silicone will be employed.

    Good luck.
Were there any places that developed ice during the winter?

Good week for me. Worked a little extra than the two days (whew!), taxes are done, snow is melting, attended one annual meeting (won a $25 gift card there) and one monthly meeting (the monthly turned out to be just as long as the annual!), actually scrounged some firewood, too.

I wouldn't think so. I used the ice and water shield at a change in pitch where there wasn't any prior to me re-roofing, overlapped the felt by 1/2 for a couple runs thru there as well. I have plumbing and hot water vents coming thru that roof and several feet of flashing where the roof meets another area of the house,,kinda' of a split roof deal..I'll climb up there with a couple tools and some good silicone and see what I can see. Next step would be call the pro's or State Farm,,,or light a match ,, LOL!!

Went in on OT today, pulled a grounded motor without issue.
Then got a driveby from my manager that he's pulling the ripcord for a new gig in Georgia.

meantime prospective buyers of the plant were visiting while I was pulling the motor.
It's bad timing on his part, between the impeding plant sale, some other personnel issues, we have to keep the ship upright for 7-8months while filling "interim" positions that may not be permanent positions depending on who buys the plant.
My job isn't in jeopardy, but they are squeezing the other office guy into the interim manager role, and want me to take on his responsibilities until they maybe hire someone.

Good luck with all that uncertainty... hope you're able to land right where you wanna be after the dust settles.

Back to cold here this morning. Ground has re-frozen. Sunny today. Grandsons are gonna land here this morning. Gonna try to boil off the 10 gal of sap we collected. We have it stored in jugs in a small patch of snow, under a tarp (kept the rain off), so it would stay somewhere around 38 degrees. This has been my son in law's project... not sure what he'll come up with to boil it. Said he may have a deep fryer to use.

One pot of coffee down, should I start another...nah!
Maybe just make a little noise in the workshop?
