    And to keep it confusing, in many places the quaking aspen kind of poplar is also called popple.

    I had never heard of it called popple until I visited the net.

    I personally like poplar. Got alot around here. I burn it during the day and my oak at night..
    It seasons in months it's light and splits great for kindling. Like it!
