Yesterday evening haul 1st of the fall season

    Finally got to the woods. I had to get this out after I found it last weekend. This was in a patch of woods I can only get into during certain times depending on crops.

    Some of my favorite species and just the way I like it.

    A lot of it was laying on the ground and I think for quite some time. That's what I like about locust.

    With the fat fluffy bark already off of it, more real fuel fits into the stove for each load. Goooood stuff!

    Nope Bogy...the truck is still sitting in the same place as that picture from Wednesday, luckily it's not a daily driver. I did split 2 evenings this week though....sugar maple,ash and elm. Elm was cut live about Dec. of last year and left in the round, it didn't split too bad that way.
    I have never burnt any of that birch.
