for $179 i'd burn them. They actually ran okay in my stove. The heat output wasnt the greatest. I still have some bags. I think they are 4 years old now. If GS was 179 and chows were 199 i'd go with the chows. I'd go with the GS if there was any more of a larger difference than that tho.
Hmm, assuming lets say 1/2 %, going by weight. you could be talking 10 pounds of oil, or close to a gallon and a half per ton . Wonder what they taste like
.10 -- 1/10 % by weight would be 2# of oil per ton. Sorry if I was not clear on the .1 being .1%. I do believe it would be an additive at the volume and not residue from lubrication -- BUT -- I do not actually know.
Burned a bag last night. Not great -- Not horrible -- Just a run of the mill pellet. No comparison to Platinum or Lacrete. I am going to pull the trigger on a three ton and store it in a shed that used to house our meat chickens that is no longer in use. It will be a safety valve for my daughter and SIL in case they have not rebounded financially by next winter. That will ensure my good stuff remains safe from my overly compassionate wife. Of course I FULLY expect they will be back above water before then in which case it will not spoil till needed. I expect to finish this year with about 6 1/2 ton not counting these. That is a couple years of stash unless oil goes nuts this year or next, (not expected).
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? The picture clearly shows " Lees than 1% " 2000x.01=20 pounds. I did 2000x.005 (half percent) for 10 pounds, for argument sake.
I think it is .1% (2000 * .001) not 1% --- BUT --- I did not have my specs on and may have misread. If it is 1% the soy is a binder for sure and not from lube. Even at .001 it would seem most likely a binder cause that seems like a lot of lube contamination. I will dbl look at a bag tomorrow wearing my glasses to offset these old eyes.
Nope --- But I did add some funky flames to bucket full and entertained my grandson a few nights back in the fire pit.
