I meant to get out in the woods yesterday. That didn't happen, so I went today.

I felled a few trees, mostly beech. One bigger one that came down fine, despite my screw up. Nothing was hurt, no issues at all, it just barber chaired a little. I dropped it right where I wanted to, alongside the trail.

    That made for easy loading.

Mostly beech today, but a few smaller ironwood too.

And here's the trailer full on the way to the splitting and staging area. IMG_20160306_132903310_TOP.jpg

I took a trailer load of wood I split home today.

Looks like a good days fun(work) to me. Do you pull that sled out of the woods by hand?

Yeah, yeah - what kind of internal combustion 'engine' pulled that sled... human, gas or diesel? Reindeer?
    Inquiring minds want to know.
A worthy score of BTU for the fires. Good job!

Looks like it is a good thing you are getting that out now before it goes to punk. Too bad about the barber chair but if no harm done it turned out okay.

I'd still be in the woods if I had to pull it by hand. :faint:

Backwoods Savage a couple pieces at the top were marginal. But this was a very nice solid beech. Good thing too. If it had been hollow or punky in the center, it might not have been a non issue.:bug:

It got to 61° today, it's supposed to be nearly 65° tomorrow, my birthday.

The actual beach will be coming soon. I'll be in Florida for a week in the beginning of April.

I'd only do that if your employer offers a "section-8" option like that guy Klinger on M.A.S.H. always tried to get. (I miss that show). LOL

Naw, I went to work. Production meetings are on Tuesday afternoons, and my company needs me to keep them abreast of all the updates on component delivery.

    Thanks Savage!

Yes, I went fully clothed. ;)
