Anyone have Tempurpedic and if so how do you like it or what do you recommend? Our mattress is shot at this point and we are looking for a new one. Man was shocked at the prices of them when we started looking around.
We have a mattress that conforms to your body, not sure of the name but I'll check. I really like the one we have.
We bought a traditional pillow-top, spring mattress. Do not make the same mistake we did. 4 years in and I prefer the couch, floor, truck, anything but that damm mattress. All mattresses are to much money IMO.
We are definitely looking for a firm foam type mattress that conforms. Oh, trust me I know what you are talking about. Ours is ten years old and was $500 new. It is so broke down right now that I would prefer to sleep on the floor and my wife feels the same way. Awhile back she went with me on a business trip and after sleeping in a hotel we both woke up and said wow we aren't stiff and sore when we got up this is pretty sweet.
Check overstock.com if buying temporpedic. Mom and dad got a king $600. They're pretty good, but if you want really firm I've found the cheaper beds are actually better. My next one will be a sleep number, but the temporpedic would be on the short list.
I have a latex foam mattress and love it. I feel like a different person after the old coil spring mattress.
When we moved here, we decided to leave some stuff at the old house....the bed was one of those. Got up here, and spent about $1000 on a new bed set . I think it's a Sealy, but not sure anymore...pillowtop. I like it, but it's getting a little worn.
I think we spent $1500 on a king latex mattress from rooms to go. Best deal we could find. The sealy and Simmons as more. There all pricy. Ours was firmer and conformed better but over time has broken down and you feel more movement from the other person. If warrenty was not such a racket I'd call it in. If I were to do it again I would go cheaper pillowtop spring bed. There all junk after laying on them for 6 months testing!
We have a local high-end furniture store here that advertises 2-sided, flipable mattress sets. That used to be the key to getting more from a mattress. If any of y'all want to duplicate me, you can take dimensions from our current mattress.
Even our mattress has small divots. We rotate it but not flip it bone but the cheapest do that now a days. I like a hard mattress but she do sent. That means I could be happy on the $500 king ones that are in the cheap rooms bit she can't
I got a sleep number bed and it really works for me, was in an accident and messed up back bad and sleep number did the trick....
I got the cheapest one they had and got thr composite frame with it for $1000.00....It was a double size and had a single bladder cause there is just me....Also not digital so don't really know what my number is but most of the time I have it blown up extra firm....Works for me....
Well we went and tried out a few and we are definitely leaning towards the memory foam just not sure which one yet.......
The foams are hotter if ur a person who gets hot at night. I her it and did not believe it but they really are. Mine is a latex with memory foam or something on top.
I didn't like the memory foam. I toss and turn before getting to sleep and the memory foam doesn't bounce back quick enough...made the bed feel lumpy. Something to consider.
I see they advertise them starting at 600 dollars for a Queen size... I have an air bed now , probably 15 plus years old, Natural form...They are used in hospital as well...come with 25 year warranties.... Only thing I would own again is an airbed... Seems like how ever good a regular mattress is,, it takes on a memory after a while and you now have an uncomfortable bed again..
