A good friends nephew has been smoking the meat for a few wedding receptions every summer. This year he wants to expand so I'm going to give him a half pickup load each of c/s/s pecan, shagbark, and pignut hickory, cherry, sassafras, and white oak. I'm glad to see a young person w enough grit to work a job and try to get a business of there own going too. I'm glad to help him.

Here is a jag of pecan I cut for him today.

Thank you, but I look at it more as an investment, we've got to do anything we can to get this country back to work.

I'll gladly second that, Red Elm:thumbs::salute: :usa:
Was the pecan alive last summer, dead standing or down? Just curious.
Excellent support you've extended for your friend's nephew- Bravo, sir!

It was/is one of two big pecans that grew up w their trunks touching at the ground like a big V, this half blew down in a storm in the spring of 2015. It has seasoned little, if at all. It will be stored under roof in an open sided shed once c/s/s.
