$29 for a "8x12", "proof print" that is unedited... or an 8"x12" pro edited archival print that has been treated to resist fading, etc... $99

I placed the request, and none were found for my address. The furthest back they went was 1991 for this area, so I looked through a dozen or so rolls of film anyway. The closest they get to my place is about 5 miles. So, I guess Google Earth with the history button which goes back to 1999 for this area will have to do. Or, I could just make my own!

That's a couple of my neighbors places. And one that might be kind of interesting if it had been a bit closer. Note the smoke rolling out of their chimney:

Thanks for this thread Stinny ! I found a place with Colorado photos, earliest is 1964 but I will take that:) There are not previews though so I need to call the guy that emailed in response to my request, I want photos of the old family farm that is now gone and a maze of homes/townhomes/schools etc for my genealogy. :dancer:

This is such a neat resource. Unfortunately not available up here. Although I know what our property would have looked like in the 60s. Nothing but trees. Our area wasn't developed until the mid to later 70s. When we were students at the high school here, the school was on the outskirts of the community and our future property wasn't even available by road.

I found this interesting. The first pic is of the neighbor's house in 1988 which burned down in 1994 and the second pic is of the house that's there now.

Well... I emailed the current owner of our old farm this b&w photo and that led to a convo that led to my son and I headed there tomorrow! When we sold the place 9 years ago I had asked if I could have a few of the old boards that were just inside the left side of the barn's big door (the one open in the pic)... those boards have many generations of family and friends' initials carved in them from many years ago. For many reasons, we never got to do it. He remembered I had asked for them and said we ought to come over and get them. A friend, who is a carpenter, is going to go up with us too to help get em off and replace them with some old boards he has. I have convinced my honey that these old boards would look good over our TV eventually. I'll have my camera with me for sure. Tomorrow is going to make some memories... I won't sleep 10 minutes tonight... ;)
