Just about finished cleaning the shop & garage yesterday. Supposed to hit 66 today, noticed a few trees are starting to bud seems a bit early

Starting to feel better but blowing my nose til it is raw is getting old fast. Campinspecter is on the up side of his cold so he is starting to pamper me. Breakfast made, laundry washed and hung up. He even has my lunch ready for warming up while he is gone today. Curling starts at noon so I guess I will hunker down with the TV today.

Hope you get on the mend also!
For extended days of nose blowing, we get that tissue treated with the aloe vera and vitamin e. It seems a bit more gentle....

I use cloth handkerchiefs. the paper ones make my nose glow in the dark. With our awesome hot water system, the cloth ones come out really clean. Man sized handkerchiefs or old T shirts cut up into squares works quite well.

We get very little curling coverage here below the 49th parallel. It isn't until the run up to the Olympics that it even gets a mention.

I take a lot of flack for it but I enjoy curling.

UncleJoe Well, this past week has been Canadian Women's Champion ship with the finals today. Next weekend starts the Canadian Men's Champion ship, then it will be Women's world and finally Men's world. Too bad you can't get Canadian TSN down there.

Ugh! Ice all over the parking lot/driveway. Time to get some salt out on it. Suppose to get some freezing rain tonight. Possibly changing to snow.

I don't own any. I will spread the salt in front of me as I go.

Finished scraping camp road down with tractor bucket this morning. Just brought some wood in after eating two sandwiches for lunch. Now it's salting time.

Climbed onto the roof and got rid of some ice that loosened up yesterday, should only have to do that once more this season...maybe.

Cleaned out what little ashes were in the kicker stove then 10 gallons of ash form the OWB. I needed a new ash bucket as the one I was using was too thin in the bottom! Yesterday, at a Tractor Supply Store, I picked this one up for $5.99!
It was the last one there but was missing the lid. That, I can make....

[IMG] Normally, $27.99, on sale for $16.79.

It's that time of year where larger stores will be clearing out the wood stoves and supplies/accessories.

Keep your eyes open for good deals!

Salt spread out and more ready for possible need in the morning. We are supposedly going to get some freezing rain and snow tonight and early morning. Wood brought in and plenty of little things taken care of today. And a short  in the afternoon. Time to relax.

Done for the day. Church this am, some work, then went to a funeral visitation with my Mother.

Threw a small fire on, even though the temps were good it was damp and windy.
Sitting back watching an old movie with Bing Crosby and Fred Estairre.

I swore at the German engineering this afternoon. A simple air filter change in the audi 4.2 took waaaaay too long.

I had to invent a tool to clasp the unreachable last retaining clip for the clamshell case that his the air filter. A piece of solid copper home wiring with a loop twisted at the end did the trick.

It was 63° today, a record breaking the old one from over 115 years ago. That was 54°.

It's supposed to snow a few inches Tuesday.
