I really don't give a rip about noise, just as long as the thing does not shake the house apart and try to escape and run away like the other one did.

We are used to hearing the washer making lotsa noise.

The more noise, the better it's working don't ya know

When these things are quiet, I get nervous.

Just as long as my 50" computer screen on the wall is not doing Saturday night fever I'm good.

Still think we made a seriously bum jump by going with new washer/dryer
I found a beautiful 1 year old Red LG set for $300
Folks were moving due to a transfer and the stuff had to go Quickly

The LG's were front loaders too.

The last used washer we bought lasted us 6 years and was still going strong.

    Best part, it cost $100

    Ahhh well.

Thanks again for the heads-up on the accident bogieb - it was a double tractor-trailer accident locally, due to Black Ice on the roads here early Friday am., thankfully both drivers were ok, but their rigs were a mess.

It's still getting cold enough here at night to render salt ineffective, and everyone seems to be piloting a jet fighter on the roads lately w/ the 'warmer' weather we've had. Lots of day melt / night freeze will be going on here for the next few weeks.

Off to visit the youngest @ UNH Durham - have a Great day & safe travels everyone.

Our 22 yo maytag dryer was squeeking. Nephew (who works for appliance repair place) opened it up, wentvthru it with me on what to get and work change out for me. About 125 on parts, and all is well again. He said not to replace the them as most parts are relatively inexpensive and he can change. Plus, the drums of today are crap compared to what i have (plus, cheap labor ;) )

psytrance is really the only appropriate music to be associated in any way with a washing machine.

    Yeah buddy

Can you imagine loading your machine up an then heading off to go shopping.

Meanwhile at home your washer is doing the "PSY TRANCE"

When you get home the neighbors are looking at a pile of rubble that used to be your house :hair:

I am still not very trusting of these new washers.

    Now then.

The video is funny as H*LL but was staged with a huge brick dumped inside the drum.

This said, a large bed spread thats soppy wet could really get close. :picard:

    OOOOOOK

Gave the big Maytag Maxima its official test drive.

This thing is soooooo smooth, and aside from the Theme from Close encounters it's sweeeet.

The cat and I watched the entire cycle from start to finish and life is good.

The thing sounds like the Starship Enterprise readying to leap to light speed when it winds up to spin.

Cooooool whine then its off and running.

No vibes hardly at all, even with a modest load.

The real acid test will happen when we stuff the bed spread in the sucker.

Well, temps here got up to about 50, and while walking the dog, I saw a wet spot in the road. Looked up, and yes, that small Maple was leaking sap from a broken branch.......spring is here!!

Everyone at work is shocked when I tell them I travel icy roads still in the morning. But, but, it's 50*. Well, it is over on ManchVegas land but in my neck o' the woods it is 30.

Took stuff out to the mulch bin a while ago, and even with the warm days, sun and all the rain in the middle of the week, the ground is froze solid past the first 1/16".

Went on an expedition for the first fried seafood and a Tukerman's emergency pig out session of the year to be followed by a nap. Got delayed on the way back for the nap so the boss could spend some of her gift certificate at a quilt shop.

Leave it to kids to tell you how it is. I was laughing so hard because my niece who is 11 caught me off guard. We were all sitting at the dinner table playing cards, and I burped, and before I could say excuse me, she said Uncle Mike where are your manners, were you raised in a barn? God love em, kids will sure keep you honest lol.

57 here today. T shirt weather! Took the dogs for a long walk, cleaned up the pine branches from the storm carnage last week, and now it's miller + nap time.
