My family started in ascending order from my 10 month old to my 4 yr old to my 6 year old to my 10 year old to my ** yr old wife to my 35 yr old stomach with vomiting non stop since Monday. My 3 youngest ones are fine but us last 3.....thankfully not this though
The young fellah that I trained to take over my former position at work came up into the engineering dept (current position) the other day and went into the single stall bathroom....which is a walkway away from my cubicle. I could unfortunately hear the effects of that same stomach bug y'all have.... About added some breakfast to my keyboard just hearing the wretching.....Yuck! Get better, crzybowhntr. Uggggh, now I feel a little queasy!
Hang in there mom and dad!! Nov-Jan 2014 evil stuff took over all of us, very hard to see a lil one with stomach virus, also hard when parents get it and lil ones see you sleeping on the bathroom floor . I feel for you. We had a couple trips to urgent care for iv fluids and antinausea meds (for parents, lil one recovered quickly). This year was a stubborn head/chest cold thing that hung on forever, but not as bad as the stomach one, next year will be better cnice_37 ? and Gasifier ?
I finally pretty much kicked the nasty hacking cough I had for 2 months. The doctors pills didn't do much, and over the counter drugs didn't fare any better. Fortunately there's no fest around this area of the country, but that hacking cough that just lingers.
In my adult life I have never been sick enough to miss work that I remember. Very rarely will I ever get a head or throat cold. Years ago I would get allergy headaches in August, nowadays my body doesn't want to get motivated so much in the morning though. Gary
Ok glad it wasn't just us, I've been sick for at least two weeks. Dry cough and then more productive cough, then barfing and diarrhea. It was snowing when I went to bed Monday night and Tuesday evening when I woke up it was all gone.
I've been under the weather a couple times since early Fall. The wife and kids too. The three young ones are in elementary grades 3 and 6. And their Mom is an elementary teacher. Makes for quite a "pass-the-germs-around-please" facility.
My 2 yr old had a brief stomach thing earlier in the week.... I am on day 6? of the flu. No fun, I am a useless human being. Can't work, can't play with the kids. Hoping today is the day.
I used to NEVER get sick, never missed a day of school or work because of sickness until I was 30. But now that I have kids I usually get hit with something at least once a year that they must bring home from school or daycare. Whatever's going around now hit me early Monday morning. The only other time I've ever projectile vomited like that was when I was just learning how to handle my alcohol years ago!!! Although I partially blame that on the 4 bowls of chili I had Sunday night, once I emptied my stomach of the chili I only felt exhausted and dizzy for the next 48 hours. Then since Wednesday I've had a lot of congestion. My wife had similar symptoms most of the week. Luckily both of the kids are fine, except for the bad cough the baby's had for 2 weeks.
This is my second winter in a row going completely sickness free. I haven't had the "flu" since I was a child. I used to get 1 or 2 head colds per winter season but since my wife started cooking all organic and I've made a real effort to cut out processed sugar, I don't even feel "under the weather" anymore
Sounds like nasty stuff. I try to stay away from crowds etc. We have grand kids here now. All little germ factories. One of the coughed for two months. I didn't catch it. Ever since Ive started using my bipap machine, I don't seem to be bothered by colds. The colds run you down and then make you a sitting duck for that oppurtunistic stomach virus.
