    I would get a spare...
My son had his STB, and we were REAL lucky that the Lowes <2 miles away had one.
He later went back and got another... (Dad's suggestion).

To be fair, I must say that the suggestion to have a spare was made, because he
has a finished basement, with carpet etc...
We have it set up with two pumps. One to go on if the other does not...
But still wanted a backup... the cost of the pump,
was so much less than new carpet and repairing drywall...
I'm not saying that everyone needs a spare...
But it isn't a horrible idea...

The termite walks into a bar and says:
    Is the bar tender here?

I didn't get it either until bar + tender.
THe bar is made of wood.
    Termites eat wood.
The termite is asking if the bar is good to eat.
    Not funny when explained unfortunately.

It is a bit of a Dad joke.
One of my kids read me the following joke and couldn't understand why I laughed. I said it was funny on several levels. They just thought I was an idiot.

I guess of all my uncles, I liked Uncle Caveman the best. We called him Uncle Caveman because he lived in a cave, and because sometimes he'd eat one of us. Later on, we found out he was a bear.

Still in training at several different places so hours/days aren't stable. But, it's going well and I like that I'm not sitting in a chair (do that enough of the day!). I've trained at two different dental offices, then last night I was at the local PD. I think they are moving me around working with other people until a new dental office opens in town - or someone else quits, not sure which it is. Plus it is always good to have a backup if someone is sick or on vacation. Unfortunately my working with other people cuts down on their hours :( so I hope it isn't too long until they get me in my permanent spot.

Crazy weather for sure over the last 2 days.

2 days ago, I was shoveling in the morning with slush on the driveway where I left the snow. It melted away completely overnight.

Yesterday morning it was cooler here than at work and yeah, I could feel the warm/cool air line as I drove to work. By the time I got home last night all of the snow here was gone. The only remaining snow is where the I was putting snow from the blower.

Last weekend, sledding in the back yard-this weekend its bare.

Most everything in my basement is elevated in some way. Until I solve the issue of water coming up thru the floor (yes, thru the floor - small cracks and high water level - low house level), I'm not totally finishing anything. Drywall that I installed last fall is 4" above the floor on top of Azek boards. So, it isn't a disaster if the pump goes out, just an irritation and aggravation thing.

I still have a pile of snow in front of the garage door. True, it is smaller than yesterday morning, but still there. A lot of the snow in the yard is gone - especially where it is shin deep in water :D
