Man we've had rain, rain and more rain down here. Ready to get in the woods. Will post pics Later :stacke:
1 more cord and I've got 3 years worth. Not that I'll quit cutting or anything Currently have about half oak and hickory and the rest a mix of ash, red maple, black cherry, pine, sass and hack
Well had her headed down but was off on my direction just a little and she hung up on a smaller oak about half way down. Went and got the ol Mahindra(2wd 60 hp)with bucket and pushed it on down. I thought I was gonna get stuck but luckily I made it out. It was probably too wet but oh well. Bucked it up and got the 4x4 Chevy and got it home.
Great day in the woods rebelduckman That closeup of the end grain above is A-MAZING Beautiful stacks I guess the new chain treated you well?
That is some pretty grain in the heartwood. I've been known to say the same thing while cutting wood- "looks nice, but will look better going in the stove!"
man, good days work. pretty firewood is just a bonus because you will remember splitting it as you put it in the stove later! nice looking dog, looks like he deserves a treat.
