Our winter was off to a slow start-it stayed mild for some time. Very nice change of pace. However, we are not on track for snowfall this winter and that is just fine with me!
Snowfall to date is just over 140".

    140"? For this winter season?!

We have probably received about 20" total for the whole season!

It is now snowaining sideways here.

140" is about 10 year's worth of snow for us.

For the season, it is not uncommon to be around the 200" mark. We're doing gooder this year!

There were too many years that I remember being over the 300" mark.:jaw::hair:

It's been all rain since I woke up, coming down pretty good at the moment so maybe that sheet of ice we call a driveway will be gone by tomorrow morning.

I'm thinking the Brook is moving pretty good, unless there is an ice jam.

That is a crazy amount of snow just to think about, I couldn't imagine dealing with it all.

Hope everyone stays safe and warm. And thank you for the very warm welcome!

Please understand that this doesn't mean there is snow 200" deep in the yard!!

There is a place in the Keweenaw peninsula of the U.P. that erected a snow depth gauge to show how high the amount of snow they had gotten.

    The Keweenaw Snow Thermometer
