Careful with the footing now. And don't spit with the face shield down.

:picard:That freezes on fast at 15 degrees.

Must be careful with the footing.

This decent size Ash has some rot going on and is to close to barn area.

And the EAB will be hungry.

This one is all cut up now. Time to bring the tractor out and move some snow out of the way then collect the reward up.
    image.jpeg

But first ya have to stay fueled up!

Just two hours of work in the snow and colder temps was tiring. Snow makes it tough for sure. A good break and then let the Kubota do most of the work this afternoon.

I use my Kubota for as much as I can. Maybe that's where my extra weight is coming from. Lol

Well gas,the snow is harder to get footing in but it really does a good job keeping the bugs down.

The Kubota started right up after the glow plugs warmed for about 5 seconds.

The many advantages of having a backhoe. This big end of the tree was up on a pile, so I used it to swing it around and get down on flat ground.

Nice to have the snow on the ground to hold the logs up while your cutting.

Not that I would dull a chain by hitting the frozen dirt or anything.:emb::whistle:

Nice Gasifier. That seems like a lot of limbs for an ash so it must have been somewhat in the open. Still some very nice wood there.

Good pizza for sure. A few of the Equipment Techs that work with me live there and bring it in for lunch.

Wish I knew you were in the area. Could have had a mini GTG iffn' you had the time.

I thought about a couple of you that were from down around there. I knew you were in that area, couldn't remember who else. C.R.S. LOL

But unfortunately we did not have time to stay. We couldn't even stay and spend time with family. :( I just had to get back home, so much to do and not enough time in the day.

It was a trip to be at my Aunt's Funeral. My Mom's sister passed away at 92 years of age. She was a great lady, mother, grandmother, aunt, and a friend to all. And had a great life!

Another time, maybe. Sorry for your loss.

Good work with the ash. Can't wait to see the barn too.

Fun, fun Gas. All our snow is gone after a few days of 50's & 60's....crazy weather. Supposed to drop back off close to the weekend. May try to get out Sat. morning for a bit of firewood work.
