    Stihl 041

    Stihl 041 - $275 (Puyallup)

For sale is a very nice Stihl 041 Farm boss. The saw was completely gone through. Features a 61cc engine that runs flawlessly Idles great and has amazing throttle response. The saw has a die cast magnesium body and big 22" bar. The saw will be around for another few decades if properly cared for.

Looks like the saw was repainted. It is nice looking but it would be nice to know what was done to it when it was tore down for repainting. I would also like to see better pics of the saw. Maybe some close ups and with the clutch cover off and bar off. Nice looking old Stihl.

That is a mint looking saw..

Lots of sellers that paint or powder coat nowadays. They do look great. But that doesn't fix they 1,500 hours it may have on the bottom end, the loose PTO side bearing because the recess is worn into an oval and it needed a sealer/Loc-Tite to seal it in postion.

I was just agreeing with you  So many people out there make others think it's a NOS unit. Just adding to your comment. Also, I should have added "I agree" in the beginning of my post after the quoting of your post.

It's funny because this appears to be a run-of-the-mill 041. (61cc). They aren't rare or really all that collectible. And somebody has gone the distance to make this one look pretty.

Make sure that's not one of rose stihl copies that they were selling awhile back on ebay or CL or where ever. I think they actually said stihl etc on them and they were from that era...I think 041 was one they copied. I know they made knock off 090s
