True story.. I always left her iPad open with big dump trailers..lol.. It worked! She wrote a contract for me stating if I quit smoking for 4 months we can go get whichever one I choose and my wife is hoping we make that purchase! She even said a gooseneck was alright Now I have to kick the habit!
Went back up this weekend but it was way to muddy for the trailer. Ended up parking my truck and we took his tractor up to do some cutting. Now it's just a matter of the trails drying up so I can grab a few more loads..
Yeah, I hate sloppy mud too. I had slop to deal with on the atv in a couple of spots in the field. It didn't stop me, but we could use some colder temps to firm that mud up and retain the little snow we have for my sled. The quad gets sloppy, but the car stays clean at least.
nice even lengths , good cutting. that will split later. i say once the truck is dirty, use it! when you are done you can clean it up once a be done.
Finally heading back up tomorrow to actually get some wood!! Last two times was cutting only because it was a mess!!
After weeks of weather that made it way to muddy I finally got to a couple piles with my trailer this morning. Still too soggy to get up the hill to the main piles but I pulled a real good load and have another I can get to later this week. Hoping by time it's all done I can pull 6 to 8 loads. This is number 2. Just getting started..lol.. That was one smaller pile loaded up. Heading down to 2 other smaller piles to top off the load. Ended up being a real good load.
Nice! I spy some locust in there as well! Looks to be a bit of American Elm in the piles, but you can just toss those back into the woods. Nice haul!
Yep a little locust. Not much though because the straight pieces were cut to length for fence posts. Lot of beech in another pile I didn't know was there.
American elm is good stuff. I know you're kidding, but folks that only burn poplar, or pine would kill (or at least maim for a bunch of elm rounds. That's a nice load Driven!
Grabbed a real nice load up there this morning. There are some huge rounds on the wagon and a lot of no split stuff in the truck.. Already stacked about 1.7 cords from these loads so far.. Still a ton to get over the next few weeks..
Sounds like its keeping you busy! But when you're going through the firewood, best to keep going! Nice job.
