This deer was killed that last week of season (Feb 1) in NE Ohio. I know a few different guys that had pictures of this deer and were trying to kill him. It grossed over 260! Giant is an understatement on this one. This year was crazy for how many 200"+ deer were killed in Ohio and a 300" deer was killed early season. Probably the best big deer season Ohio has seen in a long time. Locust Post and Boog this deer was killed close to where you live.

I think a friend showed me a picture of this last weekend if it's the same one. He said the guy told him it was NE Ohio but wouldn't tell him any closer vicinity.

What a great buck! Congrats to the successful hunter.

I'm surprised that buck still has his head gear so late in the season. Bucks up here start shedding antler in December and usually the biggest (most testosterone) shed earliest. Some guys have shot mature bucks in muzzleloader season which is the first week of December here and when they grab the rack to start dragging only to have the antler come off in their hand :picard:

We see a lot come off in Dec here too but always get a few that hang on into Feb.

Our muzzleloader season is early Jan and see a lot of shed bucks get killed when people think they are does.

Yup, Alliance is just a short jog south of me. For a moment I thought it might be the big monster hanging in my neighbors bottom land with his black angus! ;) That's a beauty.

One of the guys I sold a house to had pics in his back yard. And his yard butts up to public land!
