So I had lunch out at a local restaurant with a supplier of mine. They drove, and paid as customary. On the way from work to the restaurant, I spied fresh cut black locust logs on the side of the road.

I think I'll make the trip tomorrow after work out of my way to pick it up.

If I had a pickup truck, I would've gotten it today. Plus tomorrow is jeans Friday. Maybe I'll put the hitch haul on the Audi to get as much as I can.

Well my second day off and I took it easy today. Took wife and kids to Watertown for some fun. We had to go in a round about way so I stopped and introduced them to The Silver Leaf Diner on Route 11. The next time you go through that way thewoodlands , you will have to stop in with the Mrs. Good food! Then took the kids to the arcade at the mall. They had fun. We looked around at some stores and stuff and I took them to dinner at The Olive Garden. We all ate enough today to get us through till lunch tomorrow! LOL

Finally got ahold of my partner and he opted to not shovel his garage roof. (Thank you, God!)

After the crawl space job last week, he told the boss he is just about done working. Felt wrong to come in to work and felt right to stay home for him!

Not much on the agenda today other then picking up a paycheck, gas for snowblower (just in case, right?) and most quite probably the most important errand of all....Bacon is on sale for 1.99 a lb!!!

    Probably get a couple.

    or 5!

    Maybe more! Yes, more!

Interesting drive. Stopped for gas (corn free) for the snowblower at a station selling 164.9. Grabbed the handle and selected no ethanol premium and the price was 299.9! Poor snowmobilers!

On my return, helped out a snowmobiler from Iowa whose machine died crossing the 4-lane highway. Right in the middle.
A state trooper and he were struggling with it, just needed one more set of arms. Man, was he grateful! Got it onto his trailer for him.

Glad it didn't happen at night.

Dunno. Let me go check and see what it is. She seems to like it just fine.

Edit: It is a 7.3 ft3 Samsung. I can't remember exactly when we got it, but it has been several years and has been 100% trouble free.

Nothing on the trees here but north of us is a whole different story, ice.

It did get above freezing for a bit today so it was coming off the trees and the wires north of us.
