I discovered this saw this morning, I never really had much interest in the 041G. Knowing the rarity I decided to put a deal together for it. Kind of sucks the guy I bought it from repainted the top cover and did some minor touch ups to the white paint, but looks to have around 90% of the original white paint. I think it is growing on me, I'm pretty happy with the deal. I'd like to find a nos or near new period correct bar for it.
Very nice saw Brad! Mike Acres' site says they started production in 1969, but does not show a discontinued year.
Yea, if I ever decide to go to one of these GTG things I keep hearing about maybe I'll bring along a couple contras, 090s, and this dude.
There's one comming up in North Central Mitten on April 23rd. You should come check it out. Should be fun :stacke:
The location/info should be in this thread: here Dennis will probably private message anyone who has never been there the address when the date gets closer. Might be quite a hike from Edwardsburg, but it should be lots of fun!
That is a rare saw. I know of one other person that has one and its in the same or better original condition. I doubt he would ever sell it. Congrats on the find! Are you planning on attending Dennis' GTG? It would be nice to meet you (and run that saw!!)
I will not know until closer to the date, I travel internationally so much for work now that it's hard for me to make any kind of plans more than a couple weeks away. I would like to make it to GTG, I'd like to meet you guys as well.
